The Williston Water Resource Recovery Facility is a wastewater treatment plant designed and constructed to treat the wastewater effluent for the city of Williston. Following an initial screening process, oxygenation and liquid/solid separation processes, the plant utilizes an autothermal thermophilic aerobic digestion system to break down the raw sewage into a Class A biosolid. At the end of the wastewater treatment process, the plant generates clean effluent water to discharge into the Missouri River as well as Class A biosolid for use as agricultural fertilizer.

  • 2,800 tons of reinforcing steel
  • 34,000 linear feet (6.5 miles) of underground piping
