Verasun Ethanol Facility

Rice Lake Construction Group was the mechanical piping and millwright services subcontractor for the 110 million gallons per year Verasun Ethanol Facility (now owned by Valero Corporation), in Hartley. The scope of work included fabrication and installation of approximately 76,000 feet of carbon steel and stainless steel pipe from ½” to 48”. Rice Lake also provided crane service, rigging and installation of all equipment including process pumps and tanks. We performed more than 170,000 hours of work in a nine-month span to complete this project in an aggressive time frame, and at the same time as the Verasun Ethanol Facility in Welcome, Minn.
